 Our BIG EVENT for the 2008 Season will be held on August 31st! 1st Annual Labor Day Fair “DASH FOR CASH”.  There are a lot of preparations being made for the first of many Labor Day Fair races at the Juniata R/C Speedway. With the first weekend of the 154th Annual Juniata County Fair in full swing we will have a full crowd of spectators ready for some Lightning Fast Nitro racing! There will be door prizes, 50/50 raffles, trophies for all classes and CASH PAYOUTS! We hope to bring some much needed exposure to R/C Dirt Oval racing this Labor Day Weekend! So come out, bring the family, and enjoy some of the best R/C Dirt Oval racing in the Northeast! This event is brought to you by JRC Speedway and the Juniata County Fair in conjunction with the Port Royal Speedway..  Click here to download the pre-entry form. Nitro Sprints - $500 for 1st, $300 for 2nd, $150 for 3rd Trophies for the Top 2 drivers, Plaques for places 3-5 Nitro 2WD Latemodel - $200 for 1st, $100 for 2nd, $50 for 3rd *Electric Modified EDM class is tentatively scheduled and we will announce when it is officially added to the lineup. Additional classes and payouts will be announced as we officially post them. We plan on running 2 sets of heats for each class. The 8 fastest qualifiers from the heats will be seated in the top 8 starting positions in the A-main. There will be a 2 driver "bump-up" from each Main below the A-main. The A-Mains for every class will consist of a 10 car starting grid. We will be offering pre-race entry forms for drivers sometime in the coming months. That way we will get an idea of what classes will be running and what to plan for as the event approaches. Our goal for this racing event at JRC Speedway is simple. We want to showcase our hobby to all of the Juniata County Fair spectators and participants. During the opening weekend of the Juniata County Fair there will be literally thousands of people in attendance. This is a big step towards bringing new racers to our sport and a chance to get media and press coverage. JRC Speedway as well as the Juniata County Fair are already pushing this event out into the community both online, through advertising channels, and more. We will do our part to make this the biggest event that we can. Hopefully with a great driver turnout we can really show the public how fun, exciting, and competitive R/C Dirt Oval racing is.
