All Classes:
~ Must be production based kit manufactured and available for purchase to
general public.
i.e.: Custom Works, BMS, Dynotech, Klein, Bulletproof, Kranzel,
OFF etc.
~ Modifications and optional parts are ok, but no scratch built or protype cars
are allowed.
~ Radio use is limited to 2 channels only i.e.: no wings adjustable from radio.
~ No front brakes allowed.
~ All entries must be 2wd / rear wheel drive only.
~ For turn Marshall Safety all cars must have a front bumper that is made of a
shock absorbing material.
i.e. nylon, delrin, plastic, kydex etc.
~ Front bumpers must be mounted in such a way that they will contact an object
prior to any other portion of the car in a front impact.
~ All cars must have 4 wheel independent suspensions.
~ No straight axle cars allowed.
~ All bodies and cages must resemble real full scale cars running on dirt oval
tracks.
~ All corners of bodies and wings must be rounded for safety!!
~ Wheelbase minimum is 9.5", maximum is 11.5", maximum width is 10". ( for Sprint,
EDM, and Late model)
~ Wheelbase minimum for Electric Modified EDM is 9.0",
maximum is 11.5", Maximum width is 10.5"
Nitro Rules:
~Nitro Sprint, EDM, and 2WD Late model .12 or .15 cubic inch engines only.
~ Nitro Truck class .12 or .15 motor, or the stock .18 that came with your RTR
kit.
~ The Traxxas Jato 3.3 engine is legal for Nitro Truck ONLY.
~ Max fuel tank size is 75cc in all classes.
~ No stinger modifications and no pipes with adjustable stingers allowed.
~ Single speed transmissions only. (A 2-speed locked into one gear is ok).
~ Two wheel/rear wheel drive only.
~ Minimum weight is 56oz.
Turn Marshals:
~ All drivers must turn Marshall the race immediately following their race.
~ Immediately following your heat or main make sure you are in the track to
Marshal. If you need a substitute because of injury, handicap, or other reason
find someone BEFORE your race to sub for you. If you cannot find on contact a
track official and they will work something out. IF you do not report to Marshal and fail to get a substitute you will be docked 2 LAPS from
your best race. If you do not report to Marshal and fail to get a substitute
after a MAIN you will be given LAST PLACE in your class for the day.
~ No Smoking, drinking, talking on cell phones, etc. while Marshalling
~ Turn marshals may not work on or repair cars.
Transponders:
~ What the computer prints out is what the results are.
~ Personal transponders may be used but track transponders are available free of
charge..
~ We are not responsible for your personal transponder failing to count.
Races:
~ Entry Fee's are $12, $8, and $6 for the First, Second, and Third entry.
~ All heats and Mains will be four minutes long.
~ There will be two rounds of Heats with a reshuffle after the first round.
~ All mains will have 8 cars. 6 That will be determined by qualifying and two
that will bump up from the lower mains.
Points:
~ Two points drops will be allowed over the course of the season.
~ The points breakdown will be posted on the
Race
Results page.
~ You will not receive any points for unattended races.
~ If you are disqualified after your respective main you lose all points for
that day.
~ Ties in the final point standings will be determined first by the highest
drop.
Class Payouts and Trophies:
~ We plan to have weekly payouts for racers who attend JRC Speedway. As of right
now the payouts for each class are T.B.A. We will update this as we get closer
to race season and have an idea of turnout for each class.
~ We also plan to
have trophies at the end of the Racing Season for each weekly class at JRC
Speedway.
Code of Conduct:
JRC Speedway would like to remind drivers and spectators that R/C Racing is
suppose to be a fun hobby. Any detrimental actions towards other drivers,
officials, spectators, or surrounding facilities will under no circumstances be
tolerated. JRC Speedway has been provided an very unique opportunity to bring an
R/C Racing facility to the Port Royal Speedway and it will not allow the actions
of ANYONE to hurt this relationship. That being said we hope that drivers and
spectators will respect other drivers, spectators and the grounds of JRC
Speedway.
Here are some
ground rules for Conduct...
- Please no abusive or profane language in or
around the track or drivers stand. We realize that on and off track incidents
happen but please remember that this is a "Family Friendly" environment. So
please try to keep profanity to a minimum. If this becomes a problem track
officials will give a warning ONCE. After that you will be asked to leave.
- Under no circumstances will you the drivver yell at the Turn Marshals,
Announcer's Booth, or fellow Driver's during a race. If you have a problem with
events that unfold during a race address the track officials AFTER the race.
ALL Drivers will be expected to fill out and turn in a
Liability Release form before practicing or racing @ JRC Speedway. You can
download the form
HERE or ask track officials when you arrive at
the track and sign in for the days racing events. Thank you for your patience.
