~ All entries must be 2WD / Rear Wheel drive only.
~ All cars must have a gearbox with a minimum 3 gear reductions including the spur and pinion.
~ ANY brushed or brushless motor and speed control combination is allowed.
~ ANY type of Sub-C 6-cell Nimh batteries are allowed. No limit on capacity.
~ ANY type of 7.4 volt 2-cell Lithium-Polymer "LIPO" batteries are allowed***. No limit on capacity.
*** Hard or Soft shell "LIPO" batteries are ok as long as they are a production battery. NO homemade packs.

We encourage battery safety @ JRC Speedway so anyone found charging Nimh or "LIPO" batteries improperly will be verbally warned ONCE. If the problem persists and track officials have to intervene a second time you will be asked to leave the facility. Nimh and "LIPO" batteries are both very safe sources of power for your R/C vehicle but as all of us know abuse of safety guidelines set forth by battery manufacturers can have severe and even fatal repercussions. PLEASE use caution when charging your batteries.


~ Foam or Rubber Street treaded tires are allowed. No Silicone, Capped, or Truck tires.
~ Traction compound is legal, but tires must not leave a trail out onto the track or pit lane.
~ Wheelbase minimum is 9", maximum is 11.5", maximum track width is 10.5".
~ Overall vehicle length is 22". Reverse is not allowed. (may be programmed out).
~ All cars must have an EDM body. (Homemade or molded center and roof sections are ok)
~ No side dams other than sail panels. Both sail panels must be symmetrical.
~ Maximum body height is 7-3/4". Maximum body width is 8".
~ Door panels may not extend past the centerline of the front axle.
~ Right Rear Tire must be at least 1/3 exposed.
~ Front tires must be fully exposed. Front nosepiece no larger than 4-1/2" wide.
